Town of Lebanon Public Bathrooms
The Town of Lebanon trusted DiamondKote for all of their resinous flooring needs in these public bathrooms.
The existing Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT) flooring had begun buckling due to moisture vapor pressure beneath the concrete slab, creating both a trip hazard and an unattractive appearance. In addition, the concrete block walls were absorbing and holding odors over time. Lebanon needed a durable, easy-to-clean surface that could withstand regular washdowns while also delivering a cleaner, more appealing look.
The crew at DiamondKote came to the rescue. In just two days, the team removed the old VCT flooring and aggressive adhesive residue before diamond grinding both the walls and floors using 16-grit diamond tooling to properly prepare the surface. The selected finish was the popular “Matador” color blend from Torginol, which provided a modern, professional appearance.
To ensure long-term performance, DiamondKote installed a high-performance moisture barrier base coat capable of handling up to 25 PSI of negative-side moisture drive. The system was then completed with a full broadcast of decorative vinyl chips and sealed with a heavy 20-mil clear polyaspartic topcoat for exceptional durability, easy maintenance, and long-lasting protection.
The final result was a clean, attractive, slip-resistant flooring system built to withstand the demands of a high-traffic public facility while dramatically improving the overall appearance and functionality of the space.
