Moisture damaged floor? We’ve got you covered.

Whether it’s in your garage or in your basement, moisture is a menace. It can wreak havoc on unfinished concrete floors by expanding, cracking, and chipping the concrete surface until it completely disintegrates. This process is as unsightly as it is dangerous - moisture allows mold to fester in the cracks and divots of the damaged concrete. The longer this moisture damage goes unaddressed, the more likely it is for a mold problem to develop.

Moisture damaged concrete

DiamondKote offers a number of solutions to fix damaged concrete. One of our most effective solutions is to install a resin floor coating over the concrete. Resin floor coatings such as epoxy and urethane add an impermeable protective layer above the concrete slab, completely shielding it from moisture. This makes resin coatings an ideal flooring solution in places prone to water damage, such as basements and garages.

On the particular project shown below, DiamondKote applied a urethane cement floor coating to the customer’s garage and basement. Urethane cement is a specially engineered polymer resin that is mixed with standard cement and aggregate to deliver a durable and incredibly moisture-resistant floor surface. Compared to unfinished concrete, the urethane cement coating delivers a far more visually appealing floor space and a safe, moisture-free environment. Resinous flooring systems such as this are completely customizable and can be made to match the customer’s desired color and texture.
