This project is a good example on how to resurface a concrete driveway that has flaking (spalling) and puddles. The before pictures show significant salt damage to the concrete surface from years of deicers. Cracks also developed from settling. Also, the original pour was not flat enough to accommodate the 1/8″ pitch so many puddles developed.

After filling the puddling areas- called “puddle chasing” because sometimes the puddle is just moved rather than eliminated, we applied a DiamondKote skim coat over the entire area, followed by a high volume spray texture of the DiamondKote cements.

Then we sealed the area with 2 heavy coats of clear acrylic sealer to protect it from salt and stains. This beautiful home now has a beautiful driveway and walkway to match.
